Description This SH-SY5Y human neuroblastoma cell line has a permanent heterozygous knockout of the THAP1 gene. This provides a genetically relevant model for studying the consequences of THAP1 haploinsufficiency and its role in the pathogenesis of DYT6 dystonia.

Warnings For your protection, you must wear protective gloves, clothing, and a face mask when handling frozen vials. Bear in mind that some liquid seepage into the vial can occur during storage. Upon thawing, the liquid nitrogen turns into a gas. Due to the nature of nitrogen, this can cause pressure to build up inside the vial, potentially leading to the vial bursting or the cap ejecting. This creates a risk of flying debris.
