Schwann cells - GFP
Key Features
Cat. No.:
NTV-0825-YJ150
Species
Human
Related Disease
Peripheral Neuropathy (e.g., Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease)
Summary
| Description | These are Schwann cells that have been genetically modified to perpetually express Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP). The constitutive GFP expression makes this cell line a useful tool for fluorescence-based applications, including cell tracking in co-culture experiments, live-cell imaging, and monitoring cell morphology. |

Specifications
| Warnings | For your protection, you must wear protective gloves, clothing, and a face mask when handling frozen vials. Bear in mind that some liquid seepage into the vial can occur during storage. Upon thawing, the liquid nitrogen turns into a gas. Due to the nature of nitrogen, this can cause pressure to build up inside the vial, potentially leading to the vial bursting or the cap ejecting. This creates a risk of flying debris. |
| Cryopreservation Medium | 90% complete growth medium plus 10% DMSO. |
| Research Use Only | For Research Use Only. Not For Clinical Use. |
